What is a Faikin?
A Faikin is a small electronic module that's compatible with most Daikin air conditioning units. When you plug it into the AC, it enables WiFi, so your smart phone or desktop computer can locally control and automate the standard AC functions.
Home Assistant compatibility and more
It's a perfect solution for home automation and Home Assistant enthusiasts who want full local control over MQTT and native integration. There are many platforms that can be used to control a Faikin such as MQTT, openHAB, Node-RED and other open-source hubs. As well as bridges to MQTT devices via Homebridge, Google Home or Alexa integrations.
Homeowners
Got kids at home running the AC too hot/cold!? A Faikin hands you control with your device to remotely operate 'on/off' and temperature changes - from wherever you are. Control home automation systems, smart connectivity, WiFi, geofencing, outdoor temperature display and time-ready for daylight savings.
Short Term Rental and Hotel owners
While Guests maintain their primary AC control, it's now possbile to reduce energy wastage inside the accommodation. The Host can operate the AC's 'on/off' function before a Guest arrival, during and after their stay. An energy pricing spike is no longer a worry because the Host can lower the AC's total power output to save even more. Impress your Guests by synchronising your booking calendar to pre-warm (or pre-cool) accommodation based on their timing of arrival, and expertly manage all units to turn off the moment a Guest checks out.
Save electricity
Average households can now react to energy pricing spikes with automated temperature adjusting, or by turning the unit 'on/off' remotely. It's perfect for wholesale and time-of-use electricity buyers who want to track comsumption more closely.
Barriers removed
Faikin removes the barrier of needing constant internet connection. No more frustrating cloud-based services and restrictions on API access. No more electricy consumption guess work.
