What is a Faikin?

A Faikin is a small electronic module that's compatible with most Daikin air conditioning units. When you plug it into the AC, it enables WiFi, so your smart phone or desktop computer can locally control and automate the standard AC functions.

Home Assistant compatibility and more

It's a perfect solution for home automation and Home Assistant enthusiasts who want full local control over MQTT and native integration. There are many platforms that can be used to control a Faikin such as MQTT, openHAB, Node-RED and other open-source hubs. As well as bridges to MQTT devices via Homebridge, Google Home or Alexa integrations.
